What’s New from Genasys Protect, LRAD and Evertel, Winter 2026: Why it Matters.

Every release at Genasys builds on a simple idea make it easier faster and more effective to keep people safe.

Winter 2026 is no exception. Across Genasys Protect, Evertel, and LRAD we are expanding how alerts are launched, how systems integrate, and how messages reach people who need them most.

Whether you are managing public alerting critical infrastructure or community safety, or even part of military safety operations, these updates are designed to remove friction increase speed and give you more ways to act when seconds matter.

A More Flexible and Powerful Genasys Protect

Integrated End-to-End Process

Genasys Protect continues to evolve into a more intuitive and adaptable platform for public alerting and emergency communications.

This winter we introduced greater flexibility in how alerts are configured and launched, by providing streamlined integration between alert templates, selecting the communication zones for targeted geo-updates, and finally choosing the multiple channels to send out public updates and alerts. This new process makes it easier to get the most out of zone-based communication and multi-channel alerting, all from one solution: Genasys Protect.

It’s important for emergency managers to work easier and faster to keep people notified, no matter the situation. These updates help teams move faster, reduce unnecessary steps, and turn data into action without jumping between systems or rebuilding workflows.

Enhanced Customized Zone Status

Most alerting solutions only let you blast out noisy broadcast communications across wide areas. They aren’t useful for anything but emergencies (and without communication zones from Genasys, people often tune them out due to alert fatigue). Genasys has improved communication zone’s status options for even more customization, now letting you add custom messages, select custom status colors, choose if zone updates get pushed through the app when selected (great for evacuation orders, but it’s not ideal to prioritize and alarm folks for utility easement work in an area), choose custom colors, edit existing zone status messages, and more.

This gives flexibility in public communication beyond alerting, letting the public see zone statuses that are common to your area, and expanding the Genasys Protect website and app into your community communication hub. Zone statuses can be whatever you want, from the common evacuation order and warning, to shelter-in-place, or common events like traffic incident, road construction, utility outage, and more! And as always, you can give further details to each update when publishing to a zone (or many zones at once).

Integrations That Turn Signals Into Action

One of the most impactful themes of this release is how systems work together. Genasys Protect integrates with a wide range of third party devices and data sources, including panic buttons, flood sensors, camera, and even earthquake detection through ShakeAlert. When seismic activity is detected alerts can be automatically triggered to Genasys Acoustics, delivering immediate voice and digital messages warning people to take protective action.

This is about connecting the tools you already rely on, or may consider in the future, to flow as a single, coordinated system.

Automation saves time and in emergencies time saves lives. Integrations reduce delays eliminate manual steps and help ensure alerts go out the moment they are needed. To see the integrations that are possible, visit https://genasys.com/genasys-protect/external-integrations/

Evertel Smarter Connectivity Where It Counts

Evertel plays a critical role in enabling real time visibility and coordination within the Real Time Crime Center through its integration with Peregrine.

By connecting Evertel with Peregrine, a brand new integration, agencies can bring live video data and communications into a unified operational environment designed specifically for real time crime analysis and response. This integration helps teams see incidents as they develop coordinate across units and make faster more informed decisions from a centralized location. Peregrine provides the operational view while Evertel strengthens the ability to move information reliably and securely. Together they support real time collaboration across law enforcement public safety and emergency operations helping teams respond more effectively to active situations and complex investigations.

This integration is built for the realities of modern policing where incidents evolve quickly and information must be shared without delay. By improving connectivity and situational awareness Evertel and Peregrine help agencies reduce response times improve coordination and operate with greater confidence. Real Time Crime Centers depend on speed clarity and reliability. The Evertel and Peregrine integration strengthens the foundation of the RTCC by ensuring critical information flows where it is needed enabling faster decisions better coordination and safer outcomes for officers and communities.

LRAD RT Lineup Expansion to Reach Further

LRAD RT enables remote operation of LRAD systems allowing operators to send live or pre recorded voice messages to LRAD devices from a centralized location. With LRAD RT organizations can securely access connected LRAD systems and broadcast clear intelligible voice messages without being physically present at the device. This allows teams to communicate quickly and safely during emergencies planned events or evolving situations while reducing the need to deploy personnel into the field.

This winter the LRAD 1000Xi RT and the LRAD 1950XL RT are both available for ordering now giving organizations new RT enabled options for long range remote voice communications.

LRAD RT is designed for situations where speed safety and reach matter. Whether delivering warnings instructions or critical information operators can activate LRAD systems immediately and deliver consistent messaging across locations. Remote operation removes delays and reduces risk. With LRAD RT and RT enabled LRAD systems available now organizations can communicate faster extend their reach and deliver clear voice messages when being on site is not possible or not safe.
