What’s in a Name? A Lot, Actually.

With the acquisition of Evertel two years ago, we introduced a new name “Genasys CONNECT” to represent these vital real-time messaging and cross-agency communication features. We looked to represent how this product truly helps connect teams and agencies in a fresh start for the brand.
But something interesting happened. As we spoke with our customers, prospects, and partners, we heard a consistent sentiment. No matter how much we talked about “CONNECT,” the name that truly resonated, the name that stuck, was Evertel.
It became clear: the Evertel name isn’t just a label; it carries a deep legacy of trust, reliability, and critical collaboration in the public safety community. It’s the name you’ve come to associate with secure, compliant, and efficient communication when it matters most.
And you know what? We completely agree. We love the Evertel name too. It embodies the precision, urgency, and interconnectedness that defines effective incident response. It speaks to a heritage of innovation in secure messaging.
So, we listened.
We’re excited to announce that we are officially bringing back the beloved name. Moving forward, our secure collaboration and messaging solution will proudly be known as Genasys Evertel. Or, as many of you affectionately call it, simply Evertel.
This isn’t just a name change; it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to you, our users. It’s about honoring the identity of a product that has proven its value time and again, while still benefiting from the robust foundation of the Protect Platform.
