Genasys Inc. Receives $2.0M LRAD Order for Republic of Singapore Navy Unmanned Surface Vessels

Remotely Operated LRAD Systems to Provide Critical Communications Capabilities for Navy’s New USVs

SAN DIEGO, CAFebruary 12, 2026Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS), the global leader in Protective Communications, today announced a $2.0 million order to equip new Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) unmanned surface vessels (USVs) with remotely operated LRAD 950NXTs. Further orders are expected as the RSN expands its new USV fleet.

“This order will equip the first group of the RSN’s remotely operated USVs with LRAD’s advanced long-range, ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communications capabilities,” said Richard Danforth, Chief Executive Officer of Genasys. “Now featuring gyro-stabilization, the 950NXT delivers strong, reliable performance in demanding maritime environments at distances out to 3,000 meters across various sea conditions.”

The LRAD 950NXT’s capacity to deliver communication, surveillance, security, and a first response is unrivaled.  Designed for seamless integration on unmanned platforms, the 950NXT can be operated manually or in a semi-automated mode to provide remote operators maximum flexibility, acoustic output, clarity, and broadcast range.

The RSN’s USVs began uncrewed operational patrols following rigorous testing and sea trials in the congested Singapore Strait last year. The USVs operate alongside manned ships, including littoral mission vessels, to safeguard Singapore’s waters and overcome manpower constraints by conducting similar missions with fewer crew. The RSN’s testing has shown that USVs often provide faster response times than manned vessels.

Chris Roller, Genasys Vice President for Asia Pacific, said “The LRAD 950NXT provides these vessels with vital capabilities to hail and warn, determine intent, safely interdict, and deescalate threat situations while mitigating the use of force.  The importance of these capabilities is recognized around the world by 26 international Navies and Coast Guards that equip their ships with LRADs.”
