Maritime Safety

Hail, warn, and communicate to vessels not responding to radio calls, determine intent, extend ship exclusion zones, initiate & scale EOF.

LRAD gained worldwide attention in 2005 by preventing pirates from boarding the luxury cruise liner, Seabourn Spirit, off the coast of Somalia and taking the crew and 151 passengers hostage.

Extend exclusion zones out to 3,000 meters to provide captain and crew more time and distance to determine intent, assess the situation, and scale responses commensurate to the threat.

Every U.S. Navy surface combatant and 31 international Naval forces and Coast Guards rely on LRAD systems for ship-to-ship communications when approaching vessels do not respond to radio calls, for interdictions at sea, and UNREPS.

LRAD systems are in service in more than 100 countries worldwide
